How to renovate your bathroom simply and cheaply. Our house was built in 81 and is a weatherboard pole home.
1. Get a basic design if new bathroom.
2. Tear out all old walls and floor. 1 day
3. get plummer to move taps. He also caped taps. The plummer also has to put any mixers in before the tyler.
4. Get electrician to move any lighting
5. Put corner plastic in photo below ( 1 hour)
6. Put new villa board back in (add insulation if needed)
This is where I am up to so far I will keep updating as we go.
Problems we had to fix.
1. Termite infestation - luckily they had gone however they did some damage so we simply got rid if the flakey wood and fixed up the frame with new 70mm by 45mm wood. That was actually quite fun
2. The cement floor boards were moving. - we reinforced the frame work in bottom of pole home.it was becase the shower was leaking and mad wood rit under house. see photo
